Called to make a new patient appointment so that I could get a cleaning and the receptionist said I couldn't get a cleaning until my second visit. So now I have to take off time from work for 2 days instead of just one. Why? Next.......

Looks clean and nice place, however my second visit they wanted more x rays which I already completed on my initial visit. I had x rays in November 21 and they wanted more x rays in May 22. I called and asked about this and why this is and the desk lady stated they take x rays every 6 months if the insurance allows. I have no major issues with my teeth, none. Frequent x rays also exposes you to radiation which I also voiced my concern. The American Dental Association states that x rays should be done every 2-3 years for a young healthy adult with no major issues. They are milking my insurance and this is a type of insurance fraud. They are doing unnecessary treatments. So disgusted with this place! They will milk your insurance!

Very nice staff and the dentist looked very competent. This was my initial new patient check up and days later I am still in sticker shock. The list of problems and treatments for issues that have never been found by any other reputable dentist was incredible. The sales pressure to sign up for 5k worth of treatments was unbelievable. I was kept there for over 2 hours. I am seriously considering Mexico for affordable dental care, even though I pay for dental insurance, it is useless. They are very expensive dentists, I would say in the divine range.

My issue with this dentist is they do work and upsell you on things you do not need. My daughter went in for a cleaning and they said she had gingivitis and suggested a treatment (a wash and laser) that was required before the cleaning. The hygienist showed me the swelling and gave her some tips on how to brush. They scheduled the treatment for a month later. I said... if we get rid of it on our own... we don't need the treatment right? She said yet. We made a natural mouth rinse and she brushed better and all the swelling/bleeding was gone. We go back a month later and they wanted me to sign waivers for the treatment... I said we don't need it since we got rid of the gingivitis.. she checked and claimed there was some swelling... I looked and did not see any aside from a little by a baby tooth. She got nervous when I wanted to see for myself. I refused to do the treatment and they refused to clean her teeth. I took her to another dentist for a cleaning and they did not say 1 thing about gingivitis. I asked them to check for it and they said... nope... nothing. They then heard my story and were dumbfounded why Divine would require it before cleaning. They have NEVER heard of requiring this... I since told this story to 3 other dentists and they all could not believe it. Turns out they did the same thing to my older son. He's 19, and my daughter is 14... we have NEVER had this come up until we came to Divine. Also... more troubling... My 19-year-old son had 1 cavity in 18 years... he goes to Divine and had 6! I wish I would have intervened because this happened to me with another dentist.... long story short... new dentist said I had a cavity (1st one in 45 years)... I got a second opinion and didn't say a peep... dentist found nothing... I asked to check again... nothing... then I pointed out the tooth... nothing. I wish I would have taken my son to another dentist first... I'm confident he had 0 cavities. Also... I have perfectly straight teeth... never had braces but they tried to sell me Invisalign and they also pushed my son to get his wisdom teeth out and guess what... a different dentist said they did not need to come out! Be very careful using this place, get a second opinion and if they tell you to get something done it's okay to say no and leave. We will not be going back.

I felt the Front Office gal was very short and on the edge of rude.

To get the positives out of the way: the place is beautifully decorated, has modern equipment, a nice beverage selection, and charismatic people working there. That being said, I just completed treatment at another dentist where I had my wisdom teeth removed 7 years ago. I was suspicious of Divine Dental’s recommended treatment regimen. Generally due to the out of pocket cost for the recommended scaling being north of $500 despite my amazing insurance. But more specifically regarding $375 of different line item charges, which my insurer informed me didn’t even have recognized dental codes attached. The office manager of Divine assured me that they were in fact valid codes for lasering. What she did not bother to tell me is that lasering is only to promote healing, generally used only by people who complain of pain after scaling. I had to learn this from my other dentist My other dentist’s evaluation was thorough, but vastly different from Divine Dental. Both the hygienist and dentist said my teeth were excellent except for minor calculus that was removed with a standard cleaning, at no out of pocket cost. While they agreed some areas of gum recession were indeed at a 4, they did not recommend scaling even though it had already been preauthorized by my insurer. They most certainly did not recommend paying $375 for unnecessary lasering to follow up the scaling that I didn’t need either. Also none of their complimentary services were actually provided to me except beverage. The paraffin was not warm when I arrived, so I was told. I was also told that someone would bring a service menu which they didn’t. No facial, no warm towel, I guess ‘massage chair’ is a descriptive term for any chair that lays back, no DVD offered except for a marketing video from a certain invisible brace company. Don’t be fooled by the facade and veneer. They may be skilled at what they do, but make sure they do what you actually need.

The average crown last 5 - 15 years. My wife's crown fell out after just 2 1/2 years. As if that was not bad enough, we paid gas money to drive 25 min. to the dentist office to be charged $122 after our dental plan discount. I feel there should have been NO CHARGE since the crown was evidently NOT sealed properly to begin with-a person pays over $1,000 for a crown and then has to pay another $122 to have it reset. So much for the lifetime of an average crown.

My wife and I were overwhelmed with disappointment! We scheduled a cleaning and check up and only got the check up and sales pitch. My career puts me in a position to be in front of the public frequently. I have a major event on Monday and wanted my teeth cleaned before the event. Needless to say I paid $155 to hear information about my teeth that i already knew and walked out without getting what I paid for.
